They always do good work very professional

My father in law brought his vehicle to get a quote to fix damage from the storm. While he already received a check from insurance these guys told him he needed to share the insurance amount he got with them before they could bid what it would cost to fix the damage to the car. Shady business practice at best. Shame on you for trying to take advantage of a senior. Why he would need to share what insurance gave him before you can “bid” what it costs to fix it is super shady! Shame on you!!

Shaffers is very quick with estimates and very competively priced. From the moment you step into the building, you can see it is a very well run, professional establishment. This is a strange thing to write (snd admit), but unfortunately I have used them several times (a few accidents :( ), and every time they have been friendly, helpful, offered a loaner car, and repairs were done quickly and well. They are listed as a prefered body shop with many insurance companies.

Fixed my Chevy impala bumper that we completely damaged here in the derecho. Fast and easy to schedule and pickup with very little contact!

We are giving Shaffers 5/5 stars, but only because we arent able to give them 10/10! The customer service as Shaffers is amazing and why we only deal with them!!!!. Sam, Chad, Janelle, and Austin, we have dealt with one or all of them for years whenever we have had vehicle issues or needed auto-body/collision repair. Janelle is the perfect front desk employee. She is so welcoming, personable, and cares about who walks through the door. Chad is efficient, trustworthy, always responds in a timely manner never putting us on the backburner, he gets estimates back to us asap, and most importantly he keeps us updated and in the loop. I am a nurse practitioner and we own our own business, so when others go above and beyond the same, it is comforting to know they truly care and it shows. If we need a loaner car or if we have a break down and need a tow, Shaffers bends over backwards and go the extra mile to ensure our happiness, taking care of us like family. Customer satisfaction is their main goal and they knock it out of the ballpark every single time! Their prices are reasonable, affordable, and competitive when comparing.Owen and Spencer we cant leave out! They are unbelievably talented individuals with years of experience and knowledge between them. They have done previous work on our Escape and Jeep and other company vehicles, and every time we are so glad they are on the payroll. :) Most recently, after the 2020 derecho, both our 2019 Ram and F150 had extensive damage. When we picked both trucks up this week, Owen and Spencer did an amazing job! We drove away in our trucks that looked like new and were absolutely beautiful both inside and out! I would give this location no stars if that was possible. My experience at the shop was one that completely shocked me. It was horrible. I went to the shop in hopes of getting my car fixed after a collision that damaged my front end. The associates I spoke with gave me a quote that said itd be done in a week which I was pleased with. I live in IL so I made sure to tell them I need it done prior to the 14th of December. I had it brought in a little after Thanksgiving. Needless to say, I was not done in a week nor was it even done two or three weeks after. The 14th finally came around and I called in hoping to get an answer and estimate of when my car will be done. I was told the 14th in the morning on the 13th. I was then told on the 14th to wait until noon and then it turns out it wouldnt be done until Monday a whole weekend later. I wouldnt be so upset if they didnt consistently lie to me about the process on the car. I left to go to IL that day after being told it wont be done in my rental car. I was then called on Monday and told the car was finished but after sorting it out, it was decided I could come on Saturday to pick it up. if they got it done like they said they would, I wouldnt have had to drive all the way back and forth. The cherry on the top was that my car was the filthiest it has ever been. There were screws in the car all over the floor, a quarter of the tank was missing and the car on the outside was beyond dirty as well. This is unacceptable, they had a week to clean it. The shop not only lied to me, they took advantage of my situation and completely let me down. I recommend any other Ames location over this one. I highly recommend not going here unless you want a horrible experience.

A wonderful experience at Shaffers. All of the staff members were delightful to work with. They repaired my vehicle in a timely manner and offered a clean loaner car while mine was being repaired. I picked up my vehicle today and it looks brand new. The exterior is also so clean. I highly recommend Shaffers!

They were great to work with until they didnt communicate about more damage that was found. Then would not work with me to correct after the work was completed.

My girlfriend totaled her Jeep in a recent snowstorm. Her insurance required us to take the Jeep to Shaffers to get an estimate for the cost of repair.I dropped the Jeep off at 8AM and by Noon they were already done! The staff was friendlier than normal and I dont remember the gentleman who took my keys initially but he was very pleasant to speak with and knowledgeable as well. Would definitely take another vehicle here.

Best body shop bar none. The people are friendly, helpful and work with you to get your vehicle fixed and fixed correctly.

I have used Shaffers personally on two occasions now, with the first time going off without a hitch. The second visit involved some hidden damage and a supplemental claim, and Chad worked to ensure everything was done correctly and to my satisfaction. I also deal with them from a business perspective and they are easy going and VERY helpful.

This place is hands down the BEST place to get your auto repairs done. Both times I have been here, the service was great, they have loaner cars available if needed, and the repairs made the car look brand new! Thank you so much for your excellent service.

Ive used Shaffers Auto Body a handful of times over the years & the repairs performed have always been top notch or as explained. Loaner cars are available so youre not stuck having to rent a vehicle.

After a deer hit my car my insurance company recommended them. I asked around and my in-laws, who have lived in the area forever, recommended them. Once I got the car to them, they took care of it. They went above and beyond, even offering free loaner cars.I recently took a painted motorcycle saddle bag in to see about repainting it. It had been badly scuffed from a boot hitting it repeatedly and looked terrible. He took it back and polished it while I waited. He managed to polish out most of it. What is left is barely noticeable and not worth the cost of repainting. Painting would have cost several hundred dollars and replacing it would have cost even more. He didnt charge for a few minutes of his time.

Great people, great business! I came in with a softball sized dent in the front fender of my car looking for an estimate of the repair. After getting an estimate from another local auto body shop I was expecting them to tell me I needed a new fender for a price around $800. Before they gave me an estimate they offered to manually work it out and buff it free of charge. The fender ended up looking good as new and saved me $800.I highly recommend Shaffers!

A few months ago I bought a used car (not from Shaffers) that had some wind noise on the drivers side door. I took it to Shaffers and they diagnosed and fixed the problem completely, and for a lot less than I was expecting to pay. Their staff is very friendly and professional, and they seem to really enjoy the work they do. If you have a need for auto body services, please give them a try.By the way, I was not encouraged to write a review, nor did I receive any incentive for doing so. Im just giving recognition for exemplary service.

Nice enough guys to deal with, but Im super unhappy with the quality of work done. I was quoted 2 weeks time for body work due to a deer collision and it took almost 2 months to finally finish. Still finding small things wrong with the work they did 2 years later. Took it back to have it looked at and was told nothing was wrong although, but they humored me and looked at it anyway. Sure enough, they found problems. They took the door apart and left a socket inside which was found by the OTHER body shop I took the car to after I was tired of dealing with these guys. Hard to stay mad at them because they were so nice, but I wouldnt recommend them to others.

They do superior work when it comes to fixing auto bodies. Great repair shop works well with insurance.

Not recommend.The insurance guy called me on Tuesday that he had checked the car in the shop, the car was almost done, and should be done by afternoon. When I called the shop in afternoon, they said they had not finished the work. I was fine with that and I told them I was not in a hurry, just keep the quality, then they replied with should be done by tomorrow, In couple of tomorrows, I was told different reasons: they had not polished the car, they did not get the time to finish, etc. 3 days later I finally got the call from them, the car was ready. When I went there, turned out the car was so dirty and they even left many drops and broken rubber in my rear seats without any basic vacuum. Then I realized reason why they kept delaying. The operator must dont know how to assemble the interior and mirror. I found that the area they disassembled did not get reassembled correctly, and the rubber around the door was a little broken and twisted. The interior leather panel had not assembled correctly and left a huge gap with the mirror. When I touch these areas, I could tell that when they disassembled the parts, they must misconduct with very hard force so the material got broken and twisted.They should tell me instead of acted like nothing happened. Because even a kid would tell all the things I post above after checking the car.BTW, their quote was not reasonable because the estimator just randomly input some extra repair hours($54/hour) than they actually spend. I say if they quote 3 hours on disassemble the hood, they probably only spend 1 hour or they did not even disassemble at all. At last, they never tell you how much in paper when you go there ask for quote. They kept changing the price to me. e.g. about $400 the 1st time you go there, $600 2nd time from another guy, finally $800 from the operator (Sam Shaffer).

Have had my car there several times and still not fixed right.
