Large RV park in the middle of cornfields, well-maintained & lots of friendly staff. Bathrooms clean. Wish there were many many more trees! Gets very hot (no AC in our camper). Note that there are no fast-food places anywhere nearby, to preserve the historical nature of Amana colonies, even the nearby gas station/ convenience store is camouflaged to look historical so much that I missed it. But not the RV center, it is very easy to find!

No social distancing and no masks. I am immune compromised due to chemo. When the staff came to my car for check in I put a mask on and explained that I am on chemo so immune compromised. They stood right at my car window and failed to back up when I explained that I am immune compromised. The staff needs to allow 6 feet social distancing or put on masks to protect their guests.

If youre expecting wet weather at all, stay away. Its a massive flat field with no ditches, and no drainage designed at all. The roads are flooded, and our spot was flooded. The park attendent parked us with his golf cart, at a flooded spot. With dry spots all around us that stayed empty our entire stay. Sure we couldve complained and gotten a better spot but we shouldnt have to. For $40 a night I feel like they should be able to afford a load or 2 of rock.

This is a converted cornfield. The utility hookups are situated at the corner of 4 sites. There is some stone where the tires are expected to sit, but real hard to position. We had 3 trailers requiring 30 amp hookup and one 50 amp. When we got there, only a 50 amp socket was available. Fortunately, I had an adapter. I wasnt so lucky with the water hose. Had to go buy some additional hose to cover the distance. Sewer was no problem. Only TV was over the air. If you only like CBS, you get it twice, along with PBS. No showers. Two restrooms for 400 some sites. The one in the registration building, the door didnt close. In the 6 days we were there, no attempt was made to repair it. The only other restroom is located in the community building and it is marked private. The Wifi worked extremely well.Yes, the Amana colonies were interesting, but this campground is a sore spot.

Not bad for $35. Needs some TLC in the showers. Basically a big Field with gravel roads and long gravel sites with 2 RVs per site, 4 to a pedestal

We have stayed multiple times. It is quiet and the area is interesting with the different Amana Colonies, cute shops and variety of food. Every time we have stopped the large field has beautiful green grass, extending way beyond the sites. It feels expansive. It is not crammed between the freeway and a McDonalds. Wonderful sunsets. Only drawback is that if you want a pull thru, you have to get there before the person behind your site arrives. If not, you have to back in. Hosts are great. Golf cart guide to site. We have large toy hauler with deck so need big rig sites, and they have them. Roads between rows are wide. It is nice sometimes to not have to worry about trees too close or not trimmed. The wide-open is what makes it low stress for overnight and that is great compared to places where we hardly fit. Surrounding corn fields are Midwest at its best.
