Partners cod was nice my haddock not very good ,chips not nice ,

Locally sourced and chips. Haddock was ok and the batter was not completely cooked.

Have visited this restaurant many times and food has always been absolutely fantastic. But on this occasion it was not up to usual standard. Hubbys fish was really greasy. I had a skate and it was just batter and bones. Such a disappointment.

Was expecting an amazing cod & chips but the only thing that amazed me was how bad it was, tasteless and if that was cod Ill stand hanging. Whilst you expect some bones in the fish, I dont expect it to be full of them to the point where you cant enjoy it. Wont be returning anytime soon.

You really feel like you are on the deck of a ship being that the wooden furniture, artwork and decor with port hole windows promote all that theme, very impressive. All clean and tidy with prompt friendly staff serving your table after you are seated. Had the famous Cod and Chips of Aldeburgh which tasted wonderful!!

Great fast service, lovely food, spotlessly clean. Just....get there at opening time or u will have to wait a little. The wait will be worth It though!

Small diner very well used fish and chips are superb and very reasonably priced. We visit weekly in the colder months but it is hard to get in when the sun is shining.The shop sells the same quality to take away and eat on the beach .

Have read a lot of reviews, but I must have visited on a bad day. My wife and I were served with tiniest piece of haddock coated in soggy batter accompanied with dry chips and a wedge of lemon. That, in my book does not rate as the best fish and chips in Aldeburgh. A complaint fell on deaf ears. Having it redone would have meant our group eating at different times. £3 was deducted, big deal. Not somewhere Ill hurry back.

Aldeburgh is the best for fish and chips restaurants on the East Coast and this is the best place to eat in. They dont do rock eel though, which is a shame.

Very popular. Wife complained they didnt have curry sauce. On reflection Id say have a medium portion as my large fish seemed no bigger than the medium my wife ordered.

Absolutely the best fish and chips in Aldeburgh. Fills up quickly.

Great fish, freshly cooked with proper crispy batter. Served with mushy peas -yay ! The only thing I can criticise them for is that the portions are large and there is no alternative, so if you have a small appetite a lot is wasted.
