Enjoyed the soup and everything! Wonderful people and great staff!

Went to the Soup Kitchen today. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. It came with a pickle and chips. I opted for the plain Lays potato chips. The lobby was not too busy. When I walked in I had 2 in front of me ordering food and one behind me. The staff were very courteous and friendly. The sandwich was ok. It was very salty and I did not even taste any chicken. When I opened the face of the sandwich I did see there was a lot of Ranch dressing, a large piece of bacon and the chicken was there but it was very thin and very crispy. The taste of the sandwich was overpowered by the saltiness. It did have a crispy bite to it. Not sure if that was the chicken or if they toasted the bread.Overall I rate my experience as average. I should have tried the soup. Next time I will go with my initial thougt and get a cold sandwich and maybe try a bowl of soul.

Today I had a massive craving for a bowl of chili. I decided I would head towards Wendys. As I approached windies I seen the soup kitchen was across the street. I knew Wendys head really good chili but I was up for a challenge to see if the soup kitchen had good chili as well. I go inside , and place my order. I Order today special, which wa a bowl of chili with a grilled cheese and a Pickle. The mail also came with a bag of chips, the Drink cost extra. I couldnt wait to dive into the bowl of chili so without adding anything to it I grabbed my spoon and took a big bite. Well............To make a long story short I should have ordered a bowl of thick tomato sauce and a really good grilled cheese sandwich. Thats a big thumbs down on they soup kitchens Chili. I probably used a 1/2 a shaker of pepper trying to add some Flavor to the chili. I even crushed up my bag of barbecue chips and dumped a spoon full in. I crushed Up some crackers Added a spoonful. Each time that I added a spoonful of something, I ate a spoonful to taste the chili. There was nothing I could do to make this chili taste better with what I had to work with.I think I may have figured out the ingredients. My 1st Taste of the chili was that of hormel canned chili. The rest of my spoonfuls of chili tasted like pure tomato sauce.I would like to suggest that the soup kitchen experiment with a little more flavor and meat to the chili.

Understated and amazing. Has a real hometown feel. Everything I have tried was great. This could have been the best ham and swiss Ive ever had.

First time here and jeeez. Food was amazing! The clam chowder was beyond belief along with the grilled cheese! Customer service was astonishing!! Jon was amazing with the hospitality. The prices were affordable and the environment was welcoming. I will be back soon with my family.

The soups (I tasted my husbands, too) were delicious. He had cabbage beef stew and I had mushroom. He had a Reuben and I had a Chicken Philly and mine was delicious and he said his was. Im full and so is he. If we are ever back in the area we would eat there again.

I love the soup kitchen! They have such unique soups and the home made breads for sandwiches are very flavorful. I appreciate the fact that you can customize the size of meal to match your appetite, and the atmosphere is great for quiet conversations with friends.

Went for there Mexican cornbread. Love there bell pepper soup but its hard to hit a night they have it. Food is always wonderful, just wished they had that soup more often

Every single time we go to eat there, they are out of the type of soup we want. Alot of the time they will also be out of our second choice as well. If its on their menu, I think it should be available until they close their doors in the evening.

Love the selection of sandwiches and soup and the quick service. The desserts are excellent - and Ive learned to get there early to get the chess bars! Great call-in service, also -- quick lunch option that makes this a go-to option.

This place has the best soup ever! I cant say enough about how good it tastes. I have had only four different types so far, but every one tasted superb! Add to this the staff who is so polite and patient, I cannot say enough how much I recommend. The prices are a little steep but you DO get what you pay for. :)

Pleasant. Great food. It is casual and a bit pricey but not in comparison to its competitors or its rent. The people were nice and both our soup and chicken bacon ranch sandwich was fantastic.

Yum, soup! My fav is Hot Mexican Fiesta. My only complaint is that they dont have it every day. Also delicious with an add-on grilled cheese sandwich.

First time trying the Soup Kitchen, very disappointed. Took forever on the grilled cheese and then it was wrong so had to wait and my husband was fini2with his meal and I was still eating. Will not be back.

This was our first time to grace the premises. We were passing through and wanted soup! We were greeted by a friendly staff that guided us through our options. The tomato basil soup had a good flavor and nice consistancy. The potato soup had cheddar cheese, ample potatoes, great taste and consistancy. The grape, almond chicken salad sandwich on brown bread was loaded with goodness. The turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, cheese was also delicious! It was during the lunch hour when we stopped, and noticed several take out orders being picked up. It looks like the locals love this place. Orders are processed quickly. We would highly recommend this restaurant .

I had the snow crab soup with a slice of Mexican cornbread today, some very good eating, you guys done great!

This is mine and my daughters go-to when its just us.... we love the different soups and usually get a grilled cheese combo..... good comfort food.

I am a picky eater, but can always find something to enjoy here. You can tell its fresh and homemade with love and care, which is a rare commodity now! The staff has also always put forth the effort to make the visit worth it.

My husband and I visited last night. I looked at their website and it listed about 50 different soups. They only offered five soups last night. I got the tomato basil and it was nothing but crushed tomatoes out of a can with maybe chicken stock poured in. Wasnt very good. Husband got the vegetable and he said it didnt taste as good as his Mothers. The salad bar had few items and it was $7. Chicken salad was just okay and not very much on a piece of bread.We wont be back.

The soup kitchen has lots of great you, guessed it, soup options, and they also have a pretty decent salad bar. For everything that the salad bar lacks in variety it makes up for in freshness and quality of products used.

WOW I CANT BELIEVE IVE BEEN MISSING THAT ALL THESE YEARS THE TOMATO BASIL WAS GREAT AND THE GRILLED CHEESE WAS OUT OF SITE

Fantastic grape and pecans chicken salad, but both times I have it, the croissant has been dry and a little hard. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.

The wait here was ridiculously long as there was a huge line, and they didnt have enough tables. The food was okay, but they only had two highchairs and both were in use. I dont enjoy holding my toddler while I eat. The tables are scrunched together, and the restaurant is very warm. By the time we left, I was sweaty, uncomfortable, and had barely enjoyed any of my food because of my squirmy tot.
